1. About Us
The Social Studio Co (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides social media management, content creation, website design, and related digital marketing services.
By accessing our website or engaging our services, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
2. Services
We provide bespoke services which may include (but are not limited to):
- Social media management
- Content planning and creation
- Website design and development
- Branding and digital strategy
- Consultancy and support
All services are outlined and agreed upon in writing (via proposal, contract, or email) before work begins.
3. Client Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate, complete, and timely information required for us to deliver services
- Supply content, approvals, and feedback within agreed timeframes
- Ensure you have the right to use any content, images, logos, or materials you provide
Delays caused by missing information or approvals may impact delivery timelines.
4. Payments & Fees
- All prices are agreed in advance and outlined in your proposal or invoice
- Payment terms will be clearly stated (e.g. monthly, upfront, milestone-based)
- Late payments may result in paused services until payment is received
All payments are non-refundable unless otherwise stated in writing.
5. Cancellations & Termination
- Ongoing services require 30 days’ written notice for cancellation
- One-off services are non-refundable once work has commenced
- We reserve the right to terminate services if terms are breached or communication breaks down
Any outstanding invoices remain payable upon termination.
6. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise agreed:
- All original content created by The Social Studio remains our intellectual property until full payment is received
- Upon full payment, clients receive a licence to use the content for their business
- We reserve the right to showcase work for portfolio, marketing, and promotional purposes
Clients must not resell, reproduce, or distribute our work without permission.
7. Website & Digital Content
We aim to deliver high-quality, functional websites and content; however:
- We cannot guarantee specific results such as follower growth, engagement rates, or sales
- We are not responsible for platform outages, algorithm changes, or third-party service failures
Any analytics or performance data shared is indicative, not guaranteed.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses
- Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for the services in question
Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death, personal injury, or fraud.
9. Confidentiality
Both parties agree to keep confidential information private and not disclose it to third parties without consent, unless required by law.
10. Amendments
We may update these Terms & Conditions at any time.
The most current version will always be available on our website.
11. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
12. Force Majeure
The Social Studio shall not be held liable for any delay or failure to perform services caused by events beyond our reasonable control. This includes, but is not limited to: natural disasters, illness, pandemics, government restrictions, power outages, internet failures, platform outages, strikes, or third-party service disruptions.
If such an event occurs, we will notify you as soon as reasonably possible and take appropriate steps to resume services when able. Timeframes may be extended accordingly, and no refunds shall be due for delays caused by force majeure events.
13. Social Media Access & Account Ownership
Account Ownership
- All social media accounts remain the sole property of the client at all times
- The Social Studio does not claim ownership of any client accounts, followers, or data
Access Permissions
- Clients must provide the necessary access permissions to enable us to deliver services
- We recommend access via official platform tools (e.g. Meta Business Manager) rather than sharing passwords
Responsibility & Security
- The Social Studio is not responsible for issues arising from limited access, revoked permissions, or third-party interference
- We are not liable for account suspensions, restrictions, or bans imposed by social media platforms
Content & Posting
- Content will be posted in line with the agreed strategy and brand voice
- Final responsibility for compliance with platform policies and advertising rules remains with the client
Upon termination of services, all access granted to The Social Studio will be removed, and responsibility for account management returns fully to the client.
14. GDPR & Data Protection
Data Handling
The Social Studio complies with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
We collect and process personal data only where necessary to deliver our services. This may include names, email addresses, business details, and social media account information.
Use of Data
Your data will be used for:
- Delivering contracted services
- Communication and support
- Invoicing and record-keeping
We do not sell or share personal data with third parties unless required to deliver services or comply with legal obligations.
Data Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your data from unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. However, no digital transmission can be guaranteed as completely secure.
Your Rights
Under GDPR, you have the right to:
